{"id":69,"date":"2020-06-05T19:39:55","date_gmt":"2020-06-05T19:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dralyaqoutlawfirm.com\/new\/?page_id=69"},"modified":"2020-07-21T22:11:51","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T19:11:51","slug":"trademark","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dralyaqoutlawfirm.com\/en\/trademark\/","title":{"rendered":"Trademark"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The International Classification for the Purpose of registering Trade or Service Marks under the Nice Agreement is followed in Kuwait.<\/li>\r\n<li>A separate application should be filed with respect to each class of goods and services.<\/li>\r\n<li>Alcoholic drinks in classes 32 and pork meat in class 29 are not allowed to be registered in Kuwait.<\/li>\r\n<li>Class No. 33 has been completely dropped and the international class 34 has been reinstated for tobacco products.<\/li>\r\n<li>Trademark registration is valid for a period of 10 years from date of filing.<\/li>\r\n<li>A trademark registration is renewable for a period of 10 years each. A SIX-month grace period is provided for late renewal of a trademark subject to the payment of a lateness fine.<\/li>\r\n<li>The assignment of a trademark can be recorded once the trademark is registered. Changes in the name or address of a registrant, amendment of a trademark and limitation of goods covered by a registration can be recorded as well.<\/li>\r\n<li>It is not necessary to submit all relevant documents at the time of filing. The documents can be filed at a later stage.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filing Requirements:<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>A Power of Attorney legalized up to the Consulate of Kuwait.
