The office of Dr. Khaled Al-Yaqout for Legal Consultation and Law business was established in Kuwait at the beginning of the year 2009 after the anticipation of the advanced preparation from the careful selection and the development of its members, whether in the legal or administrative-technical department until it attracted the best elements of the law market in Kuwait.

Dr. Khaled Al-Yaqout’s office worked to achieve a head start in the law market at the local, regional, and international levels. Then he began his work specialized in companies and commercial cases per stirpes along with providing opinion and consultation to his clients in that specialization and then moved with his specialization alongside commercial and corporate cases to administrative, Labor and civil cases, as well as its expansion in the commercial field in all parts of the State of Kuwait effectively.

Since 2015, Dr. Khaled Al-Yaqout’s office has expanded its jurisdiction regarding cases and law business in all legal departments, especially the commercial division through which he has worked in all financial and non-financial cases for companies, whether civil or criminal, including the cases of the Capital Markets Authority with corporate governance, restructuring them and reconciliation of their conditions under the Companies Law No. 1 of 2016 and all amendments thereon, as well as corporate misdemeanors.

He was also known for his work on banking cases in the commercial division, which is characterized by its complex nature, especially cases of current accounts, checks, bills, bills of order, and many related practical problems, in parallel with investment and information technology cases.

In addition to the above, Dr. Khaled Al-Yaqout’s office worked on arbitration cases, in which he attracted some specialized elements in this field to achieve the ability to penetrate the arbitration market, and through which he grew up until he became an advocate and defendant before an international arbitration center now in the most significant international arbitration case in The Middle East which has a billion nature.

He also expanded his competence in administrative cases by appealing many administrative decisions, as well as rising cases of financial claims to employees and to many sectors of society in which the administrative department specializes, as well as labor, civil, and governmental cases, tax cases, real estate, contracting cases and disabled persons, sports clubs, and athlete claims for their clubs.

This is in addition to specializing in providing legal consultancy in all previous legal divisions and preparing simple and complex bilateral and multilateral contracts, memoranda of understanding, and concession contracts.

Since its inception, the office has worked to establish a trademark division to carry out all administrative business of trademarks such as filling, publishing and registering, as well as defending trademark cases until it became the first office in Kuwait to achieve results and achievements in trademark cases, as it obtained many judgments, and received an award with this classification from one of the leading associations ranking law firms around the world, and has been ranked third in the State of Kuwait in regards to registering trademarks in it.

This is in addition to the expansion of the office work in all sections of intellectual property, in addition to trademarks, especially by registering trade names, copyright, patents, commercial data, industrial models and multi-domain names – in the competent authorities in that – inside Kuwait and the Gulf states as a first step and then moved in doing these work to the countries of the Middle East and all countries of the world, and has done this through his multi-functional fleet around the world.

The office has two accredited branches for the Intellectual Property Division in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the primary division in the State of Kuwait, which were established in 2016 and 2017, respectively, as well as the partner and cooperative offices around the world through which the office carries out intellectual property work in all countries of the world.

This is in addition to the corporate incorporation division, which is based on all businesses related to corporate incorporation for others inside Kuwait and all Gulf countries, and it is intended to expand to include all the countries of the Middle East.

The consecutive successes of the office in obtaining the various judicial rulings in multiple fields for the major companies around the world – some of which are in the area of communications, some in the field of cars, another in the field of medicines and others in foodstuffs, in addition to other achievements and successes in different areas that expand the work of the office during more than a decade – resulted in attracting business partners who are its current clients from international entities, multinational companies, and global, international, regional and local dual-national, mono-national companies.

As the world is now exposed to a lethal epidemic that has disrupted the ordinary course of life in different countries around the world until the work of the courts and legal practice in many countries of the world, especially the State of Kuwait and some neighboring countries, has stopped, the office has set up in purpose an affiliated branch to carry out negotiation and mediation work away from the state’s courts to save time that cases may take before the courts and rationalizing expenditures incurred by the parties in conflict, especially since many legal disputes have arisen as a result of the cessation of business and implementation of projects as an impact of the Corona epidemic.

The mediation work is characterized by mediation between the conflicting parties until the completion of the settlement between them. The negotiation work is characterized by the representation of any party to negotiate with the other party. The mediation and negotiation work ends in a period not exceeding two months in disputes that take years before the courts, which achieves the goal of the contestants and removes the pressure on the courts of the state as an innovative way to continue legal work under the conditions resulting from the Corona epidemic.
